In the Spring of my 6th grade year, my school teacher did something thoughtful and unique for the girls in my class. Tired of seeing unflattering cosmetics on his former students returning for a visit, he brought in a woman from a local cosmetics manufacturer to teach us some basics about skin care and make-up. I was taken by the whole presentation and I have never been without a chestnut brown eye shadow since.
Other influencing experiences followed: painting, sculpting, graphic design, modeling, cosmetic sales, visual merchandising, art teaching..all different ways to use my knowledge, preferences and eye while meeting the needs of others, often one-on-one. A pattern emerges.
I feel my esthetics business blends many of my gifts and interests. I am honored to have my clients in my treatment room, supported over my lap where I can see them up close, listen to their concerns and make recommendations.
